LIFE IS A GAME OF TENNIS C’MON!!!

You can have the right racket, all the smart clothes and take your place on the court - but if you don’t DO SOMETHING you are not in the Game.

You need to assess all the players, anticipate the speed and intensity of the game, raise your racket and be prepared to hit the ball anytime it comes within your reach - isn’t this exactly how life is played out?

You have Choice
In life - whether to expand or contract, to be positive or negative; we have total choice over our direction and participation! We have the power and responsibility to choose how we respond to various circumstances within the game.

You need Flexibility
To be free of resistance, open to all experiences. To have unconditional acceptance of who you are, who you are with and what you are doing in this moment. The flexibility to shift in attitude as things come toward you, an effective and efficient shift of behaviour that will keep you engaged in the action.

You are Responsible
Your effectiveness as a player depends on your internal state of cooperation. Your ability to identify, create and practice personal values, boundaries, beliefs, harmony - a point of personal balance and priority. We all have a responsibility to develop our own comfort zone - be it on the net or playing the back line. Supportive of others and able to accept support when it is offered - a balance between “should” and “could”.

You seek Balance
You can deal with the highs and lows - at your feet or at your head. You have the ability to effectively and efficiently explore your continuum of skills, “what you can do and what you can bring to others”. Find out for yourself - experiential living and sharing with a broad range of people will bring consciousness to the consequences of balance in your life.

You follow the Process
On the path to a goal the surest way is to go from A to Z - Serve, return, volley, rally, point, game set & Match. Skipping a single step, even though it may appear to be an appropriate shortcut, often results in failure! So preoccupied with the outcome you can forget the plan and process which will guarantee success.

And so it is with a successful Relationship - you have to be in the Game. A series of discrete manageable steps to ensure you are part of a winning team. Small engagements which bring about a greater awareness of the suitability of the pairing or raise niggling doubts - points scored or lost.

A relationship can enhance or undermine two lives. Getting to “Game Set & Match” without the appropriate processes is building the house, grounds and tennis court of your dreams on shifting sands.
Success at each step makes the Game of Life a shared, supportive and loving experience.
